Tiara Time

It’s time to slip into my “diamond” tiara and my purple feather boa for a little celebration. Now, you might think I’m celebrating the Royal Birth, but I’m not. Don’t get me wrong. I am super excited that Baby Cambridge finally made his appearance, but just look how tired I am from being on Royal Baby Watch day and night for what seems like the last two weeks (probably because it has been the last two weeks). No . . . I am dressed in my most festive attire to celebrate something entirely different: blogging awards. I have recently received some very nice awards from my very nice blogging friends, and I am extremely happy to accept those awards and even more excited to share them with others.
At the beginning of July, my blogging friend at Shoeful of Drool presented me with the Sunshine Award. The Sunshine Award is presented to “bloggers who positively and creatively inspire others in the blogosphere,” so I could not be happier that this is my second nomination. Last week I was super excited to receive the Very Inspiring Blogger Award from dogdaz. At the end of last week, Dogs N Pawz shared the WordPress Family Award with me. This award was created to recognize bloggers who “take a second to be nice, to answer a question and not make things a competition.” I happily and humbly accept my third WordPress Family Award nomination. Is my tiara still on my head? Good, because I have one more award to celebrate . . . and this one is a new one for me. And then, just because she’s such a super nice person, she turned around and passed all seven awards on to her nominees, including me. Thank you very, very much. I was really, really excited that the Awesome Blog Content Award was included in my very generous awards package because this is one that I’ve wanted to do for a while. Here are the simple requirements:

Well, I’m just all paws. I pushed something and separated this comment from the conversation that it goes with, which is above. Dogdaz said I was royal (thank you!) and I replied that I have princess tendencies but I still like to roll in putrid things, and then she said that many princes and princesses do too and that they get caught on camera doing it (;-)) . . . and now I think we’re caught up and things are straightened out . . . or did I just make everything even more confusing?

I think maybe we’re not seeing awards as often because they can be a little time-consuming and they can disrupt planned blogs and sometimes the recipients don’t really want to participate. All of these things are completely understandable, but I just think that it’s really nice to be recognized and then to pass that recognition on to other bloggers who work really hard to inform, entertain, and amuse . . . and I love it when my blogging friends make new friends through my list of nominees!
My mommy and I are soo excited about Christmas in July. She’s planned a little shopping spree for Ranger’s gifts later this week. I cannot wait!
