did the squirrel see you?
Unfortunately, they always see me. Then they run, and I never catch them. But I keep trying. 🙂
Aw, cutie pie – what a gorgeous alert face!
So good to hear from you! Those silly squirrels definitely get my attention.
Oh you do, you do! Nice sitting at attention!
the brown dawgs
I tend to spend a little too much time just sitting and looking, which I think gives those pesky squirrels a chance to get away from me. Maybe I should change my strategy. 🙂
What are you waiting for… Chase!!!
I’m always one step behind, and I think it would help if I could climb trees. 😉
Lookin mighty fine Miss Harper Lee. I like you ear flap curls.
Oh Ranger, this late summer humidity can be so cruel to a Golden girl’s looks!
and you are behaving quite well!
To be perfectly honest with you, I might be just a tad bit frightened of the little squirrels, so I tend to keep my distance. It’s only after they start to run that I give chase.
Thank you. Mommy has discovered new features on her phone camera. I wondered how long it would take her. 😉
I just have one word for your Harper – gorgeous. As usual – 🙂 XOXO – Bacon
Ahhh, thank you Bacon. I never get tired of your sweet compliments!
No squirrel is safe around the Fabulous Miss Lee! She doesn’t have to chase them – she knocks them out of their trees with her sense of high style and fashion! 🙂
If only that were true, my dear Red Man, I would be the happiest Golden girl around. Unfortunately–at least so far–the squirrels have been very, very safe. I am getting closer, but my mommy doesn’t seem too happy about that. She has visions of herself having to wrestle a dying squirrel from my jaws. 😉
Did you get the evil, veg patch ruining little Squiggle??!!! Whee mean, good girl for just watching the squiggle
I do a whole lot of just sitting and watching the little beasts . . . I mean squiggles!
Love the picture! If only those squirrels were a little slower…oh yes, and then there’s that tree climbing thing too. 🙂
Yes, it’s that tree climbing thing that really gets me. I need to work on that. 😉
Oh it is that time of the year … they are everywhere. Happy BlogPaws WW. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
And they’re eating everything in sight–berries from the holly tree, pecans from the pecan tree, pine cones from the pine trees, even blades of grass. Mommy says that means we’re going to have a bad winter. Uh oh!
Oh Miss Lee, you make my heart melt! Wooooowooooo, Ku
Now if only I could melt the hearts of those little squirrels. That might slow them down just enough for me to catch one. Probably not. 😉
Good luck with the stalking! Our squirrels cheat. They go up the trees. Naughty things!
And then when they get way up in those trees, they look down and laugh at us. Uugghh!
Ahhhhhh, the curly-q hairs kill me!!!
Ahhhhh, the humidity kills my normally smooth hair! Thanks, anyway. 😉
I see it too! Let’s give it a chase together.
That’s exactly what I need: a friend to help me chase the squirrels. We’ll come at the horrid little rat with a bushy tail from opposite angles and then . . . well I have absolutely no idea what to do with a caught squirrel.
My Jimmy would be more than happy to help with that!
Come on over, Jimmy. We have more than enough squirrels to keep both of us busy!
What a gorgeous picture!!!!
Thank you. Mommy’s trying some new things when she takes my picture, and I am a willing model. 😉
I can tell! Love Dolly
I do have that “Don’t bother me now; a squirrel just caught my eye” look, don’t I?
Trev is squirrel crazy too Miss Harper Lee!!!! LOVE seeing your pose, those fluffy ears with the tiny curly squiggles on top!!!! No squirrel has a chance!!!! 🙂
My squirrel obsession is a recent development, but it is serious. And those curly squiggles, according to Mommy, are the result of intense humidity. She says that humidity can really play some tricks on a girl’s hair. 🙂
So so true!!!! -Hugs
Miss Harper Lee — you are absolutely beautiful!! 😀
Thank you for your visit!!
Thank you for the lovely compliment!
Cuteness overload – love that pose! Happy Wordless Wednesday!
Sometimes, it’s all I can do to control myself when I see those pesky little squirrels. 🙂
You are a study in focus Miss Harper. Did you catch it?
Unfortunately, I am better at the focus than the actual chase and catch, but someday . . .
Ooo a squirrel! Chase ’em! Hurry!
I try to chase them, but I think I don’t hurry enough, because they always get away!
Someday, Harper! We ran into a squirrel yesterday that was stuck on a pole with no trees nearby and I had to drag Mr. N away from stalking it.
My late canine sister was a tenacious little terrier, too, and there were plenty of times when my mommy had to hold her back. I miss my hunting partner.
Well? What ya waitin’ for gurl??? GET IT!!!
I guess I do need to move if I ever want to catch one. “-)
Oh, Misaki, I try; but they’re tricky little things. 😉
Don’t take your eyes off that squirrel, Miss Lee!
If only my eyes could catch them!
That Squirrel better run!!
They always run, and I always come up empty handed!
My dogs are great at that stance when a squirrel is in sight. It’s the “look like a statue” pose 😉
I can do the “look like a statue” very well. It’s the “catch that squirrel” that gives me a problem. 😉
Oh I know that focused look!! 🙂
Your pal Snoopy 🙂
Yesterday I got to chase one through the mud. I thought it was great fun, but Mommy didn’t seem too excited. 😉
What a cute picture! My two dogs love to chase squirrels too!
Thank you. I’m always chasing, but sadly never catching.
I try, Misaki, but they always run up a tree, and I’m not very good at climbing. 🙂
