Black and White Sunday: What?!?

I'm getting a sister thek9harperlee

Wow, friends. Much has happened since my last post more than four months ago. I said I would be taking a “brief hiatus” as my humans planned and executed a move to New Orleans. I think we all agree that four months is more-than-a-bit brief; but we’re all settled . . . and I’ve informed my human mommy/blogging assistant that it’s time to get back to the important business of keeping me up-to-date on all my blogging friends and sharing my excellent adventures as I explore my new city.

Oh, and did I happen to mention that a little more than two weeks ago I got a new Golden Retriever puppy sister? Yep, this was the look on my face when my humans told me they were driving to Mississippi and would be back in a few hours with a puppy. What?!?

As David Bowie would say, “Ch-ch-ch-ch-Changes”!

Thank you to Black and White Sunday Blog Hop hosts Dachshund Nola and Sugar the Golden Retriever.

  2. Yay, you’re back Miss Harper Lee. Makes me so happy. The first picture looks like you’re asking Mommy, “What will happen to me?” THEN, there’s your baby sister and all is right with the world! The two of you are beautiful. WELCOME BACK..

    • It’s good to be back. Trust me, before my little sister arrive Mommy promised me that I will always be her favorite. Shhhh . . . don’t let my little sister know she said that. 🙂

Welcome back, and we can’t wait to hear more about your new sister and what you’ve all been up to!

    • We spent some time getting settled and then doing lots and lots of neighborhood exploring. But for the past couple of weeks, it’s been all about my little sister. I think my humans should have named her Marsha. Remember Jan’s line from “The Brady Bunch”? “Marsh, Marsha, Marsha.” 🙂

We have been wondering about you. Oh boy, a little sister. I got one of those two years ago, lots of trouble I tell you! Most of the time I don’t mind her and we do have a lot of fun, but I kind of enjoyed being the baby those 7 years before Bailie.

    • Yep, Emma. Little sisters can be a real pain, but before mine arrived, Mommy looked straight into my big brown eyes and whispered these magic words into my ear: “You’ll always be my favorite.” And then she said, “And I’m counting on you to train her.” Hey, wait just a minute!

  10. Good to see you again! We’re excited to see pictures of your new sister!

    • Thank you! So far, in most pictures she’s either sleeping or she’s a big blonde blur. My human mommy seriously needs to work on her action photography skills. 😉

You always wanted a little sister, Congratulations how does it feel to be a big sister?? That is a beautiful picture of you;)

    • You know that saying . . . be careful what you wish for? I just wish she didn’t have those sharp little teeth. Do I really look like a chew toy?

      • tylersat99 says:

Unfortunately to a puppy everything is a chew toy. As a bug sister you have to teach her better things to use those share teeth for. Good Luck

      • Fortunately, my humans have been excellent at redirecting her attention to all the toys I have ignored for the last four years . . and now I’m suddenly very interested in all of those toys, too!

      • tylersat99 says:

Newfs like jobs so Mica’s job was to potty train Aspen. It’s a long walk from family room, through hall, then garage and around to back yard. Following the big dog he adored took almost no time to train. I tried to keep chewing on toys, sticks, instead of Mica.

      • I can definitely see the importance of learning to walk to the back yard when you have a puppy Newfie. You just blink and they’re too big to carry. 😉

  12. YOU’RE BACK!! We missed you! Mom has been showing us your IG photos – how is your little sis settling in??
    Wally & Sammy

    • We’re just starting Week 3 of Operation Little Sister, and it’s getting easier. We’re even starting to curl up together for naps. Then we’re sudden;y awakened by our humans standing over us and saying, “Awwwwwww.” 😉
